About Our Fundraiser Auctions
These auctions are part of a fundraiser to rebuild our Asheville, NC business property from damage brought by hurricane Helene.
SoundSpace@Rabbit’s is a music rehearsal and art studio facility inside of a historic 1947 Black owned tourist court and soul food restaurant, and is soon to include new soul food cafe Areta’s by Clarence Robinson.
We are a creative community resource providing creative workspace for musicians and artists; a community and creative hub; a landmark of Black Legacy and multi-Black-Business space for Black entrepreneurs.
Several days following the passing of the storm, the rear hill of our property collapsed up to a foot of the corner of our building. We need a retaining wall with significant regrading done to prevent serious structural damage to the building. We are fundraising for these construction costs.
As an arts resource, the impact of your support of these auctions goes directly to the recovery of Asheville’s creative community and industry, during a critical time post-Helene. All auction sales go directly to our GoFundMe.
Our auction items are a mixed bag from local businesses, artists, musicians and craftspersons offering goods and services unique to Asheville, with speciality items from owners Claude Coleman, Jr and Brett Spivey. They make for great gifts while helping provide meaningful Helene Recovery impact.
Any and every action and share increases our reach of support, and we thank you for yours.
In gratitude, we thank you!
