About Our Fundraiser Auctions
These auctions are for a fundraiser to rebuild property damage to our Asheville, NC business brought on by hurricane Helene. 72 hours straight of heavy storm rain caused the hill to collapse, up to a foot of the corner of our building. To prevent serious structural damage, a retaining wall and significant regrading is needed. For these construction costs we are fundraising.
We are a creative community resource, providing creative workspace for musicians and artists and business space for Black entrepreneurs. For our arts community’s post-Helene recovery, the impact of your support is direct with broad reach. All auction sales go to our GoFundMe campaign, and towards keeping alive this arts resource, community hub and Black landmark.
Any and every action and share increases our reach of support, and we thank you for yours. Thank you for your participation!
About SoundSpace@Rabbit's
SoundSpace@Rabbit’s is a music rehearsal and art studio facility inside of a historic 1947 Black owned tourist court and soul food restaurant, and is soon to include new soul food cafe Areta’s by Clarence Robinson. As our region continues its amazing recovery, our role as a creative work resource has never been more critical. Every auction bid made supports our rebuilding and mission but also supports the creative community.
Our auction items are a mixed bag from local businesses, artists, musicians and craftspersons offering goods and services unique to Asheville and to its owners Claude Coleman, Jr and Brett Spivey. They make for great gifts while providing meaningful impact.
In gratitude, we thank you!
